Fright night is such fun!

-

There was all manner of spooky goings on at the Friends of Cambuslang Park Hallowe’en Party on Saturday. Hundreds of residents turned out on the day to enjoy the fun at Cambuslang Institute.

You would have been forgiven for thinking Cambuslang Institute was haunted on Saturday afternoon when hundreds of residents turned out for the Friends of Cambuslang Park Hallowe’en party.

There was an assortment of princesses, goblins, witches, zombies and other creatures packed into the main hall.

Project 31 was there with arts and crafts, dookin’ for apples, Hallowe’en cake decoration, hoop the witches’ hats, ghost bowling, pin the tail on the monster, hopscotch, ghost hunt, dare to touch what’s in the boxes, bucket challenge, ping pong game, sweetie unwrap with rubber gloves, take your Hallowe’en photo, guess the weight of the pumpkin, tattoos and guess the card.

A highlight of the afternoon was the fancy dress competition. There were many excellent costumes and characters, so it was not an easy task to select prizewinners, but they were found and each received a gift token.

The Friends of Cambuslang Park wish to thank Morrisons for their kind donation of apples and members of Rutherglen Repertory Theatre for judging the fancy dress competition (see their website at www. rutherglenrep.org.uk/ for details of their forth coming ‘Mother Goose ’pantomime).
