Big lights switch-on

Rutherglen and Cambuslang’s Christmas light switch on events will take place in the first weekend of December.

The Rutherglen event, hosted by STV’s Hayley Matthews is on Saturday, December 2 with Cambuslang’s taking place on Sunday, December 3 where radio DJ Gina McKie will be acting as host.

Entertainment at both locations will start at 2.30pm with the lights going on at 4.30pm. Take That tribute band ReTake That have been booked to perform.

Both events are free and will include a funfair, performances from local dance and theatre groups.
