Auld hat gig at Town Hall

A popular folk band are to return to Rutherglen Town Hall next week.

Auld Hat, New Heids have a history that goes all the way back to the Scottish folk scene’s glory days of the 1960s and 1970s.

Comprised of Fraser Bruce, Ian Bruce, Pete Clark and Gregor Lowrey, the band play plenty of old favourites.

Earlier this year they played a show at the Celtic Connections festival as well as two sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. In July they released CD Auld Hat, New Heids Volume One.

Fraser Bruce’s first experience of folk songs was as a pupil at Rutherglen Academy. The show will be on Wednesday, November 22, with tickets priced at £12/£10 concessions.
