Get together and help Elsie

- Staff reporter

A popular Cambuslang business is hosting a fundraising event to help a little girl who suffers from a rare condition.

Elfy Trees, based on Johnson Drive, has become well known in the area for staff dressing as elves as they deliver Christmas trees in the lead up to the big day.

The owners have organised an event on Tuesday, November 28 for Elsie How, 2, who suffers from Trichothiodystrophy.

This life-limiting condition affects Elsie’s sight, hearing, development and mobility. It also makes her hyper sensitive to UV light.

There is no cure but the funds raised by Elfy Trees will go towards research and will also ensure Elsie has whatever she needs during her life to make her as comfortable as possible.

The event will include gifts for sale from Partylite rep Jules Spence as well as raffles. It starts at 7.30pm.

The Reformer has previously reported on Elsie and her family. A number of events have already been held to support her.
