A‘whole school’approach to behavioura­l support staff will be introduced across the region, saving £85,000. This will affect all three mainstream secondary schools in Rutherglen and Cambuslang.

Primary one classes in 10 schools will be increased to 25 pupils, saving £280,000.

Reduction in grants to voluntary organisati­ons of five per cent, saving £8,000. A further 15 per cent will be removed from the grant to LEAP, saving £8,000.

Cambuslang Childcare Project will lose 31 per cent of its overall funding in 2018/19, saving £44,000.

Increase in charge for community alarm from £1.54 a week to £2, saving £130,000. This is the first increase since 2001.

A charge for attendance at the adult day care centre at Eastfield Lifestyle will be introduced while the cost of a two-course meal will increase from £2 to £3, saving £130,000.
