Frame has brush with fame after store worker stars in new Morrisons TV advert

- Jonathan Geddes

A Cambuslang supermarket worker has had an unlikely slice of fame — after being picked to appear in the store’s TV advert.

Lynn Frame has worked at Morrisons in Cambuslang for the past seven years as a checkout manager.

However, she has featured on television screens across the country for the past few months, dancing away in the store’s cheerful Way Down advert.

And she told the Reformer that quite a few customers in the Bridge Street store have picked up on her appearance.

She said: “I do get recognised in store quite a bit.

“Some of our customers even come over and ask me to dance with them.”

Lynn, who is from Carluke, sent her picture in and applied for an audition after seeing a Facebook post from Morrisons looking for people to take part.

She added: “I was then invited to attend an audition down in Leeds where I had to do some dancing.

“We did one day of choreography in Leeds, which was really good fun.

“The advert then took four days to film in a store in London.

“It had to be done overnight when the store was closed to customers, but it was such a buzz that I did not even feel tired.”

The advert was to promote price cuts in the store.

Lynn can be spotted twice in the 30 second clip, first dancing in an aisle next to some cards, and then appearing again in the store-wide routine that closes the short.

The advert has proved a hit on social media, with many posts in the All About Cambuslang Facebook page remarking on her appearance and joking about getting an autograph.

It was such a buzz that I did not even feel tired!
