Urban Alfresco closure

A Cambuslang garden centre has closed its doors.

And Urban Alfresco will not be reopening for the summer.

In a public Facebook post, owners Donna and Jimmy Stevenson confirmed the news, saying they were unable to fund changes to their site required by council regulations.

They will now be focusing on their new business venture, T4S Scotland.

The company added that they hoped residents would continue to support other local businesses.

However, the duo confirmed that their popular Elfy Trees business, which runs over the festive season each year, would return.

They added: “Thank you for all your support over the years and we hope to see you when Elfy Trees opens later in the year.”

The company was previously hailed by local MSP Clare Haughey as a successful example of a small local business.
