Cathkin’s Kyle has split personality
Cathkin High pupil Kyle Miller missed out on his school’s celebrations after they reached the senior boy’s Scottish Cup final – but his contribution on the park was hailed by his peers.
The centre half scored the opener in the 3-0 victory over Aberdeen Grammar before he was hauled off down to Paisley – to play in goal for St Mirren’s under 17s against Rangers.
His proud dad Brian was waiting pitchside at East Fife’s Bayview Stadium with his goalie gloves at the ready to whisk his son away with ten minutes of the match remaining.
He said:“There wasn’t much disappointment when he had to come off because the game was already done.
“He plays in goals and this is his second year at St Mirren. But he was playing centre back for Cathkin on the day and did really well.
“I think they will win the final but I don’t want to get too cocky.”
