King’s Park Church will hold their summer holiday club from August 27 onwards, from 6.30pm to 8pm each night.

St Cadoc’s Parish Church will hold a tea party to say thank you to the parish community.

This invitation, which will afford parish priest Rev Rodrigues the opportunit­y to say thank you for supporting and contributi­ng to the life of the parish, is open to all parishione­rs and well-wishers of St Cadoc’s.

The event will run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.

Burnside Blairbeth Church will resume running Messy Church in September.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games, where those taking part might get messy.

This is followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a two-course meal together.

A group from St Columbkill­e’s will take part in a pilgrimage to the Holy Land for eight days (seven nights) from September 9 to 16 2019.

More people are welcome to participat­e.

Details of daily itinerary and cost etc and booking forms are available from Deacon Bill, and a £300 deposit required to confirm each place.

There will be a meeting for all interested in the Church hall committee room on Thursday, September 13 2018 at 7pm.

St Columbkill­e’s are looking at establishi­ng a bereavemen­t group. Anyone interested in helping can put comments in the green box at the back of the church.

Rutherglen Old Parish Church is open every Thursday between noon and 2pm for a period of reflection.

There is also the opportunit­y to enjoy fellowship over tea/ coffee and biscuits.

Anyone is welcome to bring in their lunch and join with others in friendly chat.

Flemington Hallside Church’s women’s guild meets every Wednesday at 7pm.

Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s friendship cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am until noon.

The Tuesday Club meets in the Hamilton Road hall.

Croftfoot United Free Church hosts T in The Croft every Friday from 10am-noon.

It also hosts Lunch at the Croft on the first Friday of the month, 11.30am -1.30pm. Entry is £1.50. The Fitness Follies keep fit group at Fernhill and Cathkin Church meets every Wednesday at 10.30am.

On Thursday at 10am the Knitting and Nattering group meets in the session room. Messy Church services are held on the first Saturday of each month.

Castlemilk Parish Church hold community meals on the first and third Fridays of the month.

Rutherglen’s Salvation Army has a host of events going on, including toddler groups.

St Bride’s Church’s new Eat Up initiative, offering warm food and company, takes place every Wednesday from noon to 2pm.

A Ladies Night will take place in the parish hall on August 18.

On August 18 and 19 there will be a special appeal for a deaf school in Gambia.

Organisers ask for school items that can then be sent to the children

The Divine Mercy Prayer group meet on Thursday evenings at St Anthony’s from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

St Oswald’s Episcopal Church in King’s Park has Kaleidosco­pe for children with autism and their families from 6.30pm until 8pm on Monday.

On Tuesday there is community yoga, with entry costing £3 and lasting from 7pm until 8pm. Wednesday sees prayer space at 10am. On Thursday there is soup and space to be still from 6.30pm until 8pm.

St Mark’s have a cuppa club which meets on Tuesday mornings.

Stonelaw Church’s Cafe @ The Meeting Place is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

Tea and coffee are available, along with home baking and a second-hand book stall.

Stonelaw is having monthly 30-minute services for those who struggle to attend on Sunday.

The next service shall take place on Wednesday, September 5.

The church’s Tuesday Chat group meet every fortnight at 7.30pm.
