The Divine Mercy prayer group meet on Thursday evenings at St Anthony’s from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. A group from St Columbkill­e’s will take part in a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in September 2019.

Details and booking forms are available from Deacon Bill and a £300 deposit is required to confirm each place.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in the church hall committee room on Thursday, September 13, at 7pm.

The first meeting of the Young Adults Group will take place in the Confer-ence Room of the Parish Hall at 7.00 pm on Thursday, September 13. The Reachout Trust Annual celebratio­n will be held this Saturday from 11am until 1.30pm

The event will be held in Burnside Blairbeth Church and all ages are welcome.

There will be hot rolls, bouncy castles, a petting zoo and other fun activities.

There will be an opportunit­y to hear about the details of the trust and celebrate all that has happened over the last year. St Mark’s have a cuppa club which meets on Tuesday mornings. St Cadoc’s are short of altar servers, especially for Sunday 10am Mass.

They are appealing to parents to encourage their children to get involved.

Anyone who would like to become an altar server can speak to Fr Cirilo after one of the weekend Masses. St Bride’s Church’s new Eat Up initiative, resumes today after a summer break.

It will start at noon. The church are looking at establishi­ng an Instagram and Twitter account and a movie night will be held in the church parish on September 7. Ticket entry is £3 for adults and £1 for children. Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s friendship cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am until noon.

The Tuesday Club meets in the Hamilton Road hall. King’s Park Church’s lunch club will return on the last Thursday of the month from September. Burnside Blairbeth Church will resume running Messy Church in September.

It starts with an hour of crafts and games, followed by a celebratio­n with a Bible story and singing, finishing with a Rutherglen Old Parish Church is open every Thursday between noon and 2pm for a period of reflection.

There is also the opportunit­y to enjoy fellowship over tea/ coffee and biscuits. Anyone is welcome to take in their lunch and join others in friendly chat. St Oswald’s Episcopal Church in King’s Park has Kaleidosco­pe for children with autism and their families from 6.30pm until 8pm on Monday.

On Tuesday there is community yoga, with entry costing £3 and lasting from 7pm until 8pm.

Wednesday sees prayer space at 10am. On Thursday there is soup and space to be still from 6.30pm until 8pm. Stonelaw Church’s Cafe @ The Meeting Place is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

Tea and coffee are available, along with home baking and a second-hand book stall.

Stonelaw is having monthly 30-minute services for those who struggle to attend on Sunday. The next service is today, Wednesday, September 5.

The church’s Tuesday Chat group meet every fortnight at 7.30pm. The Fitness Follies keep fit group at Fernhill and Cathkin Church meets every Wednesday at 10.30am.

On Thursday at 10am the Knitting and Nattering group meets in the session room. Messy Church services are held on the first Saturday of each month. Castlemilk Parish Church hold Croftfoot United Free Church hosts T in The Croft every Friday from 10am-noon.

It also hosts Lunch at the Croft on the first Friday of the month, 11.30am -1.30pm. Entry is £1.50. Flemington Hallside Church’s women’s guild meets every Wednesday at 7pm. Contact jonathan.geddes@ reachplc.com if you have any church news or events.
