Boldly go where you have never gone before

Be seen this Autumn

-

Autumn has arrived and I am back with a bang this month after having a very busy summer getting married to my wonderful other half. And, might I add, what a fabulous season to start back with.

I absolutely love the Autumn. I adore layering up, cosy jumpers and that first crisp autumn morning when you can see your breath in the cool air.

For me, nothing beats this time of the year. Now, let’s talk fashion. Autumn 2018 has arrived a lot earlier this year in stores, due to the high demand in the latest trends.

It’s very obvious that the biggest trend this season is to be bold.

Many bold colours, crazy prints and patterns are blessing the shop windows and the rule seems to be that there are no rules! I love that.

It might seem quite intimidating at first when you see that striking red leopard print sweater, but this really is the time to step out of your comfort zone and try something you have always wanted to.

If you are feeling a little shy though why not start by adding some colour to your wardrobe using accessories?

With belts, handbags and jewellery all bursting with colour this could be a great way to introduce the style into your outfits. Last weekend I spent my Saturday in the Rutherglen Exchange shopping centre outside Peacocks, where a red carpet line up displayed all of their latest autumn fashion.

With a mix of prints and bold colours we were able to show off how to wear some of these fantastic garments and give shoppers some helpful tips on how to accessorise their looks, while winning some fantastic prizes in store.

One of my favourite looks on the red carpet, which just screamed out autumn to me, was a fabulous monochrome check brushed skirt (£16) paired with a mustard turtleneck rib top (£14).

We accessorised this look with a black and gold chain detailed belt to add a little touch of grunge to the outfit.

This outfit combines two of this season’s biggest trends bold colours and big patterns. Cosy, comfortable and stylish are how I would describe this look.

My second look displayed was a beautiful grey check sleeveless shift dress (£22). Perfect for the office, we paired this look with basic black long sleeved top.

We kept this look very simple with the pattern on the dress being the main attraction and to add a touch of colour we accessorised with a hint of mustard yellow in the form of a slim waist belt and shoulder bag.

If you want to up your game with this year’s trends why not pair it with a burnt orange turtle neck or a bright autumn coat? There are many ways this season to add a pop of colour or pattern to your wardrobe, and with the help of the fabulous staff in
