People who want to help shape health care in Rutherglen and Cambuslang are being urged to step forward.
NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting a new nonexecutive board member who wants to play a key role in making an impact on the health and well-being of the communities of Lanarkshire.
People do not need any experience of the health sector, but must share the health board’s drive for excellence.
Neena Mahal, chairwoman of NHS Lanarkshire, said: “We are encouraging applications from a truly diverse range of people.
“We want to find a new non-executive board member who can bring their own unique skills, background and knowledge to the board in order to support us to deliver our strategic priorities through purposeful scrutiny and good governance.
“You don’t need to be a health expert, but you will have an enquiring mind, a commitment to helping us improve the health and well-being of the people of Lanarkshire and acting as an ambassador in promoting a positive organisational culture.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to your local NHS.”
The appointment will be for up to four years and will require a commitment of eight hours over the course of a week. “
To find out more, an information event will be held at the Ken Corsar Medical Education Training Centre (METC), NHS Lanarkshire Headquarters, Fallside Road, Bothwell on Wednesday November 6 from 6pm-8pm.
