Wishaw lads Luna The Professor are set to take on their biggest challenge yet.

And it’s set to be the hottest ticket in town.

The group will headline Barras Art and Design (BAaD) on November 23, bringing a whole host of other local bands with them.

Jonny Irwin, frontman of Luna, said: “The whole line-up on the night is acts from Motherwell and Wishaw.

“It’s a no-brainer, we have to keep it local. There is so much talent in the area that has to be shown off.”

The Latitude, Cloudhouse and Kai McAvoy will be opening up the gig next month.

The guitarist of The Latitude, Josh, is actually Jonny’s younger brother.

He said: “This will be my first gig with my wee brother on the bill.

“He has been to plenty of Luna gigs and likewise with me and his band, but we have yet to cross paths.

“It might be a bit weird at first but it won’t take away from the madness of the night.”

This will be Luna’s biggest gig yet, having sold out a number of shows previous to this.

“It’s important to step it up each time.” Jonny continued.

“We have been working on production a bit and have a couple things up our sleeve.

“Our saying is ‘You are only as good as your last gig’ and we stand by that for this one.”

Before the massive headline, the fourpiece will release new song ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

“We are really excited to get this one out and I think fans will enjoy it,” said Jonny. “But, the big ones are still to come. “After this release and the BAaD gig, it will be time to look forward.

“2020 is the year we are really going to hammer it. We want to go full-time and make Luna our livelihood.”

You can find Luna on all social media and get tickets for the huge BAaD show at Smarturl.it/LTP-BAAD.
