CLYDE ..................................... 3 STRANRAER .......................... 3

Clyde boss Danny Lennon watched the Bully Wee earn a point despite being down to 10 men – then admitted he felt they should have taken all three.

Blair Cuddihy was given his marching orders after just 21 minutes, but a David Goodwillie hat trick ensured a share of the spoils.

Goodwillie struck twice in six minutes after the break to cancel out first-half strikes from Stranraer’s Cameron Elliott and Jordan Allan.

The striker then netted again four minutes from time to level after Elliott had grabbed his second of the game.

Lennon said: “I thought it was a very good game.

“Prior to the red card, I thought that our shape was good and we were starting to make inroads.

“It’s a brave and good attempt by Barry to recover, but I have had to look at it a few times to see that – the ref has a decision to make.

“We galvanised at half-time and spoke about discipline and not just going gung-ho.

“We believed that we could get something out of the game and we are actually disappointed at the end of it not to take another two points.”

The Clyde manager felt that the result showed the strength of his side’s character.

He added: “I thought that the group, once we got them in at half-time, handled being with ten men very well, with great character from each and every one of them.

“I got everything from them and that’s the biggest thing that I’m proud of today.”
