Thoughtful Thursdays continue in Rutherglen Old Parish Church every Thursday from noon until 2pm for a time of reflection and companions­hip.

Folks are invited along to enjoy tea and biscuits, and an opportunit­y to bring their own lunch to eat in a pleasant atmosphere.

A short service of prayers for healing will take place in the session house of the Old Parish Church on Saturday. The monthly coffee morning carries on in the Greenhill Hall from 10am to noon and everyone is assured of a warm welcome.

Rutherglen West & Wardlawhil­l Church’s Busy Fingers group meets each Friday from 2pm at West and Wardlawhil­l Church. You can knit, sew or just come for a friendly chat and then enjoy a cuppa. All are welcome.

The Church’s friendship cafe runs every Tuesday from 10am until noon - enjoy a sausage filled roll, freshly-made sandwiches, home baking and be assured of meeting friends old and new.

Rutherglen Baptist Community Church’s popular messy church is held on the last Saturday of every month.

The next messy church session takes place between 4pm and 6pm in the church building on Saturday, February 29.

Fernhill and Cathkin Church’s Tuesday tea room is up and running and locals are welcome to drop in for a bacon or sausage filled roll with plenty of tea, coffee and good chat and friendship.

The cafe @the meeting place at Stonelaw Parish Church is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

The church holds 30-minute services at the meeting place on the first Wednesday of every month. Faith on Friday services are on the second Friday of every month, featuring stories, activities and games.

St Columbkill­e’s Parish Church’s First Tuesday Club is a group for those living with dementia and their carers.

They meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 1.30pm, with the next gathering being held on February 4.

Refresh classes take place every Friday at Croftfoot Parish Church from 2pm until 4pm. It is a chance to enjoy a cuppa and a chat, as well as hand massage, games of pool, spiritual reading and confidenti­al prayer, including healing.

Lunch at the Croft is on the first Friday of the month, 11.30am -1.30pm. Entry is £1.50.

T in the Croft takes place every Friday morning at Croftfoot Parish Church from 10am until noon.

God Tock continues every Monday at 7pm at King’s Park Parish Church. The dementia cafe next meets on Friday January 31 from 10.30am.

Burnside Blairbeth Church continues to hold messy church on the first Saturday of every month. The next one will take place on February 1.

Castlemilk Parish Church serves community meals on the third Friday of every month. Go along to the next sitting on Friday, February 21.

Eat Up takes place every week at St Bride’s between noon and 2pm, offering a hot meal and a chance for company. The church has a laundry room available for the community.
