Great to see my friends on visit to high school

-

Hi everyone! I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Last month, I had my secondary school visit to Trinity High School which went really well.

A lot of my friends are in my class, so I was really happy about this.

The day was exciting – we started with an introduction and then we had a chance to take part in some lessons, which I enjoyed.

It was great to finally see some of my friends after all those months of being apart.

As we left the visit, we were given our primary school leavers’ jumpers which we were all so happy to finally receive.

I am really looking forward to starting high school in August and it was great to receive a taster of life at ‘the big school.’.

I am so happy that the farm (at Walkinshaw Road, Renfrew, PA4 9LP) is now officially open.

We go here as a family a few times a year. It’s always a day out that I look forward to. I love strawberries and my granda loves the pea pods.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, though, you can no longer just turn up at the farm and expect entry, so things will be slightly different this year in order to maintain the guidelines.

Monday to Friday will be divided into five slots and Saturday and Sunday will be divided into four slots, and you will have to phone 0141 889 3492 to book a slot. Calls will be taken 9am to 5pm daily.

One booking equals one car, no matter how many are in the vehicle and they have 40 bookings per slot.

There will also be a £2 booking fee. This will be added to your pick at the checkout.

I had a great time and we made strawberry tarts for dessert – delicious!

The farm is also right beside the airport and you can watch the aircraft land and take off right beside you.

It’s a great day out and exciting for kids especially if you like aeroplanes and strawberries like me!

I thought you might like a little update photo of how well my vegetables are growing indoors.

I’m now nearly ready to replant some of these into larger pots and hopefully they will grow even bigger. I can’t wait to harvest these when the time is right and see exactly what I have managed to grow. I will need to think of a tasty dish to make with the veg!
