Grow your own veg, take to the airwaves, or soar over Scotland in a virtual flight – that’s just some of the many exciting activities on offer to Rutherglen and Cambuslang kids and families at the moment.

Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust is promising something for everyone with its fun-packed Funtime Summertime programme.

There are great prizes to be won in its growing competition, Get Sowing and Growing.

All green-fingered entrants have to do is look after their vegetable plants and track their progress by submitting photos each week.

For kids who are passionate about music or technology, CamGlen Radio’s schools programme is back, offering a chance to train as a radio presenter.

All that’s needed to receive training from the CamGlen Radio team is a smartphone, internet connection and a passion for presenting.

High flyers can also get up, up and away with Healthy n Happy’s Curiosity Club.

Virtual flights over Scotland and projects exploring the landscape, geology and history of a favourite place is on offer.

Cambuslang and Rutherglen kids aged 18 or under should get in touch to find out more by emailing transforminglives@ healthynhappy.org.uk

Meanwhile, anyone who enjoys the great outdoors can get active with BikeTown’s cycling adventures.

Play the fun ‘Bike Tag’ game and guess different locations and landmarks in the local area.

Participants could be in with a chance of wining a £250 BikeTown voucher.

Alternatively, clock up virtual miles with Healthy n Happy’s ‘Where have you been this week?’ challenge, by sharing tales about your adventures on your bike, with goody bags to be won each week.

For more details on how to book or take part in any of the activities on offer, please call Healthy n Happy on 0141 646 0123 or email enquiries@ healthynhappy.org.uk.
