Bogus caller fraud
The police have charged two men who are believed to be responsible for a number of scams across Lanarkshire.
Around 10am on Friday, February 5, police received a report of bogus callers at a property on MacArthur Wynd in Cambuslang.
In recent weeks, there have been a number of instances reported across the area of two men visiting houses and offering a new boiler in a fraudulent scheme.
Police were called to MacArthur Wynd and apprehended two men, aged 31 and 39, onn suspicion of fraud.
CID officers continued the enquiry and the men have been charged with a number of frauds and trading standards offences.
