Head coach Ellis said of the defeat to Kilmarnock:“We are really disappointed as ultimately we are out of the Scottish Cup.We worked really hard all week and we had been looking forward to the game.
“Weknew this was going to be a steep test.Kilmarnock are a verygood side, well organised, sharp, physical. but more importantly they have lots of quality too.
“We were really looking forward to it and we wanted the players to giveit absolutely everything to be in the hat for the nextround. At the moment, we are disappointed not to be involved for the nextround.
“It was disappointing tolosethe g oal when we did.We rode an early storm and Kilmarnock had a couple of chances. They showed their quality at timesbut we built into the half as it wenton.
“A minute before half-time we lose that goal, andif we don’t, it’s really gameon in the second half.Toconcede the goal was a blow and we had to lift themfor the second half.
“We wanted to make a cup tie of it and really take the gameto Kilmarnock. The determination of the players and their application is something I am reallyproudof.
“The thing wespoke aboutafter the game was taking all our positive componentsand putting them together, along with eliminating all the negatives. When we do that, we’ll be flying again.”
