The Milan Motorcycle Show

- Andy

All the news from this year’s Milan Motorcycle Show – new machines (including a new geared scooter!), parts, accessories, clothing, helmets and more!

The Milan Show is an annual event that in my experience can be a little hit and miss. This year however, there was plenty to keep classic scooter enthusiasts happy as well as interesting stuff for the modern auto riders too.

One observation I made over the two days there was the amount of companies still producing spares for classic, geared, metal bodied scooters. Most don’t get mentioned here because they are suppliers of lights, petrol taps, standard exhausts or suspension, CDI units and other mundane parts, but there are plenty of them out there and it’s very refreshing to see.

Elsewhere, I suppose the big story for us was the presentation of a new gearedscooter, the first since Vespa relaunched the PX in 2011 and LML showed their four-stroke Star models. For avid readers of

Scootering of course it will come as no surprise because we previewed the six-speed Scomadi 250 in our ‘Rumours’ section of the September 2015 edition of the magazine. Didn’t see that? Interestingly a lot of people missed it at the Milan Show too, but not Scootering of course…
