Name: Vicki Swinge Scooter club: Rode for Essex Lambretta Club fo a few years, now riding as a solo LCGB member

First interest in scooters: When I met hubby-tobe Mark in 1993. First scooter: Vespa P125e

Favourite model: Lambretta GP. But recently I’ve been enjoying riding the Series 1.

Favourite style of custom scooter: Full blown custom, but I do like a bit of everything. First rally: Yarmouth 1993, sadly in a car.

Favourite rally: Margate 1994, a crowd of us met up and all rode down to Margate, big thanks to Dave Byrne who took me as a pillion.

Worst rally: I don’t have worst rallies, they are what you make of them.

How could the scooter scene improve: The VFM and other organisers do a great job.

Farthest ever ridden on a scooter: So far, Coast 2Coast 2015, 840-ish miles round trip. We rode with the Wisemen SC who looked out for me, especially Mal and Mike.

What do you like about rallies/events today: I get butterflies the night before the ride, looking forward to meeting up with friends having a laugh, and taking part in the custom show. I enjoy the night time entertainment, bands, DJs and dancing the night away. But most of all taking plenty of photos, of my friends getting u to all sorts, which they can’t remember!

Favourite custom scooter of all time: Start Me Up (obviously!), Shock (yellow) the geared Why Be Normal (multi-coloured chop) from 90s, Sieg Heill (controversial!), and Big Kid owned by my old friend Pete Morgan.

Who first inspired you in the scooter scene:

My boyfriend Mark (now my husband).
