The Birmingham Day Trippers Scooter Club Charity Do

- Bill

The Birmingham Day Trippers Scooter club’s annual end of season do was on Saturday, November 14, at The Dark Horse, Moseley, organised in support of Acorns, a children’s charity hospice.

The 34 members of this traditional threegeared scooter club based in Moseley, Birmingham, were joined by nearly 200 scooterists and mods from other local clubs. As you can see by the photographs everyone had a fantastic night, enjoying the scooter sounds and meeting up with old friends. It was the third charity event The Day Trippers had run and it could not have taken place without the support of the DJs who gave their time for free.

Fiona Murphy, Alan Shaw, Mark Carter, Paul Merrick, Mark Barrett and Andrew Marshal played a cool mix of Motown, Northern Soul, Mod, R&B and reggae to the sell-out crowd. Bill Tucker, who coordinated the event would like to say a big thank you to the DJs, the management of the Dark Horse and everyone who turned up to support this event.
