T HE WINDING ROAD

Although it’s possible to take a direct route to Woolacombe off the M5, the A39 coast road into the resort must be one of the nicest routes in England. Very reminiscent of some low Alpine passes and with picturesque villages aplenty it’s one to be taken leisurely. Friday proved that even coming towards the end of the rally calendar there’s still a good chance of great riding weather.
