Name: Scotty Job: Scrap dealer. Scooter club & town: Vieux Boulons du Reich SC France and Lambretta Chopper Owners Club. How and when did you first become interested in scooters: In 1986, in my town, south of France, there was a big scooter scene with scooterists which had different styles like skins, Mods, psychos... I was young and I was already passionate by this scene and I became immediately scooter skin. Later, my friends and I, we spent much time in Scootermania, the Alain (Dzig) and Fred’s shop, to get good advice... What was your first scooter: A Vespa 50 and a Lambretta Li150 S3. What is your favourite scooter model: TV175 S3. What is your favourite style of custom scooter: chopper and cutdown style. First rally or event: 1988, Canet en rousillon. Any stories: Every departure for a rally is an adventure itself and there are too many stories to tell... Favourite and worst rally/ event: My favourite one is Cleethorpes. The worst one was Sienne, in Italy. With my long-time companion, Christophe Durif, we had 2800km to go and when we arrived, the evening of Friday had been cancelled! The campsite was not open and there was nobody anywhere! And zero indications too! My mate and I slept outside waiting the next day for the events... but doing so many miles for so little made us very grumpy (lol). What is the funniest experience with a scooter: It was for the rally Lerida in Spain. Always with the same long-time companion, Christophe Durif, we had 800 kilometres to go and the mountains to cross, but no organisation for that! In France, the weather was beautiful when we left, so we left in T-shirts! Except that in the mountains, it was snowing and we found ourselves stuck on a mountain pass in the night! To resist, we filled our clothes with newspapers and other tricks; we were ridiculous and completely frozen but I have rarely had so much fun since! This kind of accident is part of the unforgettable memories, and there have been many others of course... What’s the furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: 2800km, to go from Paris to Italia for the Ile d’elbe , Sienne rally. Your favourite custom/featured scooter of all time: Dyrospeed Devastator. If you had to recommend one scooter part or item what would it be: A good old conversion – RS Tuning!
