Name: Ramie Stewart Job: ROV pilot. Scooter club &town: Dundee Stars and Stripes. How and when did you first become interested in scooters: Igot my first scooter in 1985. I only bought it to get to work as amechanic, and I’ve had one ever since. What was your first scooter: PK100. What is your favourite style of custom scooter: I’ve always had awee passion for modified scooters and as an 80s scooter boy cutdowns/chops were always my thing. First rally or event: My first Rally was Morecambe ’86. How did you get there: Went there two-up like most people. No licence, no insurance, no nothing on aP150. Favourite rally/event: Morecambe was always a fave continuing for mega years, but I like to support our Scottish No 1s and Kelso has one of the best scooter rallies in the country. What’s the furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: Well everywhere can be far from north Scotland, Margate, Brighton –that’s probably the furthest I’ve travelled on my scooter. What do you like about rallies/events: I’d say my favourite thing about the rallies is now my kids look forward to them as much as Ido, it’s great to see that my life has had an influence on theirs. Ihope they continue to attend and keep enjoying what they have done from the minute they were born. Makes me aproud scooterist dad. What do you dislike about rallies/ events: My biggest grump is the snobbery there is… people complaining about how people get to rallies... cars, vans, campervans. Our scene needs support Idon’t give a f*** how they get there; they have made the effort to get there and support the rally. We aren’t 21 any more; we all have different life commitments. In an ideal world it would all be scooter riders and their scooters. But it’s not like that so f****ng get over it and get back to enjoying what we are there for.
