Name: Dean Child (Dino) Job: Full-time scooter mechanic with a background in engineerin­g. Scooter club & town: King’s Horbury When did you first become interested in scooters: When I was about fifteen years old and my older friends had them. What was your first scooter: TV 175 smashed it up for the fields (I know) P200e on the road. What is your favorite scooter model: I like them all, so no particular style. What is your favourite style of custom scooter: I just like the thoughts and imaginatio­n that goes into some machines. Favourite and worst rally/ event: A rally is what it is! ALAN shouted loudly all night. What is the funniest experience with a scooter: Just J rebuilt my GTR and setting off backwards, hitting ‘the crown jewels’ on the headset! (Woodruff key sheared and it ran backwards). What do you like about rallies/events: Music, and meeting old and new friends. What do you dislike about rallies/events: How people dislike certain scooters. A scooter is wwhat it is and if people can’t afford a Lambretta and get an AJS act and still ride, ood on them. What’s your favourite Scootering Magazine feature: f True stories of people’s adventures. Your Y favourite custom/featured scooter of all time: ‘Enola Gay’. If you had to recommend one scooter part or item of riding kit ,what would it be: Good riding gear.

Name of scooter & reason: Vintage Evil - Little Red Riding Hot. Scooter model: P125 Inspiratio­n for project and theme: All things ‘Fifties Time to build & by who: Three months by me. Any specialise­d parts or frame mods: Cut and chopped frame and panels. Frame shaved under seat and old tank made into toolbox. Trials bike tank. One-off seat. Grimeca disc set up with Goodridge hose through the extended forks. One-piece Vespa horncastin­g and Lambretta front mudguard. Various US coins used as washers, etc. Dice choke pull. Is the scooter reliable: Hope so! Paintwork & murals done by: Gatch. What was the hardest part of the project: No dry build. Do you have any advice or tech tips for anyone starting a project: Dry build.
