Welcome to Scootering Top Touring Tales

Having produced a plethora of tech-based supplements over the past year or so, I wanted to break things up a bit and offer something of an alternative nature. Don’t worry, there are many more tech supplements still to come, so just consider this as something of an interlude. Each month our writers and contributors cover many miles across the globe, and bring us the most fantastic stories of their trips. A few of those particularly stand out in my mind, for various reasons, and although I couldn’t accommodate them all in a 32-page supplement, I did want to at least deliver a flavour from some of them. Hopefully, with a new season ahead of us, this Top Touring Tales supplement will inspire many of you to get out on the open road and use your machines to explore new places. Hopefully, we will hear back from a few of you, telling us where you have been and the memories you enjoyed along the way. Within the included stories, there are also some helpful maps, contact telephone numbers, restaurants and hotel suggestions to get you started. I’m sure that once you get out on the open road, however, you will carve your own path and find many interesting places to visit. If I was using the supplement for inspiration to plan my next trip, I can’t say for sure which trip I’d be most inspired by, but if I had to hazard a guess, it’d be Whisky Burn, but I just can’t think why!
