Name N of scooter & reason: ‘BONZO’, after my ffavourite player at West Ham Has H the scooter won any show trophies: Won ‘punters choice’ at the Shed rally. Best custom aat the Essex Alliance ‘Blast for Mark’. Best ccustom at the Vespaholic­s St George’s Day ride, aand it’s won two previous to the spray job What W other themes did you consider: I wanted a cclaret and blue street-racer style, but after sspeaking to the sprayer he had some great ideas s so went with what he was offering. We decided t to base it on my favourite player, Billy Bonds Scooter S model: Indian GP Inspiratio­n I for project and theme: West Ham FC and a Billy Bonds. Time T to build & by who: Put together by me and mmy friend Mark Newton Engine spec: Carb: 30mm Dellorto Exhaust: TSR evo. Clutch: 58/107 gearing and AF clutch. Dyno done by: JB tuning Top speed & cruising speed: Top: Around 77mph Cruising: Happy sitting at 65mph Is the scooter reliable: Touch hairy wood. it hasn’t let me down yet, which is a credit to John and Mike at JB Tuning Paintwork & murals done by: Rob Dickons (Dred FX). Engraving done by: Kevin Adams Hardest part of the project: Having the patience to build it, which is where Mark Newton helped out with wise words Advice for anyone starting a project: As Mark kept saying to me: “If you get the ‘hump on’ with something, move on to something else for a while” Is there anything still to add to the scoot: I’m always adding little bits, much to the annoyance of the missus!
