Name: Martyn Burrows. Job: Builder.

Scooter club & town: Gloucestershire. First interest in scooters: 1976. First scooter: Lambretta SX150. Favourite scooter model: Lambretta

GP.

First ever rally: Great Yarmouth. How did you get there: Rode on my scooter.

Any funny stories: At Weston-superMare rally when I got so drunk over the weekend I was riding back and I stopped for a pee and a fag. I then fell asleep and woke up the next morning well late for work!

Favourite rally: Woolacombe, it’s just an all-round good place, it’s run well and has a nice vibe.

Least favourite rally: Scarborough when it rained, my tent leaked and I was soaked all weekend. My scooter

broke down on the way home and I got fined by the law for no tax. Not a great weekend all round really! Funniest experience involving scooters:

When I stopped to pick up an ice cream; there was no queue so I left my scooter running. As I got there my scooter jumped into gear and it was off down the road against the kerb with me chasing it! Furthest you’ve ever ridden on a

scooter: Kelso.

What do you like about rallies: The people, the banter, the way of life and having a good time with old and new friends. What do you dislike about rallies:

When you enter your scooter into custom shows, the same ones win and you’ve spent more time customising your scooter than the others and you’ve done it all yourself! Your most recommended scooter security ite m:

Big lock and chain n. Which insurer do yo ou recommend:

Footman-James multi-vehicle. Which breakdown company do you recommend: AA. What would make the scene better:

More younger people getting involved. What would make our beloved scooters better:

Better engines; bullet-proof! Lol!
