OWNER DETAILS

-

Name: Stephen King.

Job: HGV/Tarmac.

Scooter club: Porn Stars SC.

First interest in scooters: Sometime around 1979. I was sitting in a cafe when the Quadrophenia premiere was on and loads of scooters turned up.

First scooter: Lambretta GP225.

Favourite scooter model: GP & choppers.

First ever rally: Colwyn Bay, 1984.

How did you get there: In a caravan being towed by a Transit van (the caravan was being used for tattooing when we got there).

Any funny stories: Riding my TS1 to the Isle of Wight. The exhaust pipe came off about 80 miles away and they could hear me coming from miles away!

Favourite rally: Rallies in Holland. They're five-day trips with two days in Amsterdam on the way home!

Least favourite rally: Fort William in the mid-80s; boring, nothing to do and it rained all the time.

Funniest experience involving scooters: At the Isle of Wight ferry terminal, watching a ferry set off without my scooter. I got talking to some girls and I had to get a cab with them.

Furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: Mersea Island in 2019. Twelve hours for a T-shirt!

What do you like about rallies: Everything; the scooters, my pals and seeing different places.

What do you dislike about rallies: Nothing.

Favourite custom scooter of all time: Spirit Walker and Headhunter.

Your most recommended scooter item: Two-stroke oil.

Your most recommended scooter security item: A big dog at home.

Which insurer do you recommend: Allstyles.

Most useless part you’ve ever bought for a scooter: Halogen headlight bulb. It always blew so I went back to standard.
