First scooter: GP125 DL.

Favourite scooter model: Vespa GL. Favourite style of custom scooter: Anything that means something to the owner.

First ever rally: National rally IoW and local Oxford Road Runners’ meets.

How did you get there: By scooter. Favourite rally: IoW 1999 on my £15 Li125.

Funniest experience involving scooters: Nothing funny has ever happened to me ;)

Furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: To the IoW.

What do you like about rallies: Music, dancing and friends.

Favourite custom scooter of all time: Sign of the snake.

Your most recommende­d scooter part or related item: A good helmet.

Most useless part you’ve ever bought for a scooter: Mirrors.

What would make the scene better: For everyone to get along, no matter what you ride.

What would make our beloved scooters better: You can’t.

Favourite scooter dealer: Originally Bedlam Scooters in Bedford.

Scooter model: Lambretta LD150 (early) Mk3.

Time to build & by who: It needed a bit of a thorough clean (and some fresh fuel) spent a bit of my spare time cleaning, polishing and getting it running, a few months I suppose.

Any specialise­d parts or mods: Nothing… it is all 100% standard. Describe engine performanc­e and scooter handling: Slow and spongy.

Any other details we have missed: Its original condition: albeit 64 years old, only two previous owners.
