Vespas (and more) at Scooter World 2022
It’s the first event of 2022 and this time, thanks to the VCB and VE-UK, there are special incentives for Vespisti to visit ScooterWorld.
Held over the weekend of January 8-9 at the Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, Scooter World is the UK’s largest multi-marque scooter event. This year the Vespa Club of Britain (VCB) has joined forces with VE-UK to make it a weekend to remember.
For holders of a valid VCB membership card VE is offering a 10% discount on parts from their retail outlet on site. In the unlikely event that they haven’t brought exactly what you’re looking for they’ll honour the 10% discount and post it to you free of charge. If that wasn’t enough there’ll be special VCB prizes for entrants in the custom show and a special one-off cog sticker that will only be available to members signing in at the event. Speaking of signing in, Mr Vespa himself, Norrie Kerr, will be at the VCB stand between 1-2pm on the Saturday to say hello and sign any memorabilia you choose to bring along.
If you’re not already a member of the VCB, fear not – the club stall will be accepting membership applications and renewals on site.
Finally, we at Scootering are also getting in on the act. Not only will our sales and subscription stand be there but Stan will be joining in the Vespa-related fun by unveiling our freshly completed Mk1 T5 project scooter.
Of course Scooter World isn’t all about Vespas, there’s trade stalls, autojumble, live engine runs, a custom show and more. As part of the huge ‘Winter Warmer’ event there’s an amazing array of everything two-wheeled, from pre-war British motorcycles to the latest clothing and workshop equipment. It really is the perfect way to start the year, particularly if your heart lies in Pontedera. www.newarkclassicbikeshow.com
