Any frame modifications? The parts that characterise the Lui 75 were used in the frame, such as the front and rear lights, while for the hubs it was decided to use those of the J Range to remedy the problems caused by the rear hub of the Lui model. A pair of front shock absorbers from BGM was added and a BGM shock absorber was also used at the rear.
Are there any specialised parts: A digital speedo by SIP and a central wheel holder by Thomas Dipauli and a handlebar mirror by Boxenstop.
Are there any other unique details we have missed? A Snetterton frame was used for the seat which was modified and reupholstered to fit the Lui.
Do you have any advice or tech tips: If you buy a Lui, tune the engine well, you won’t regret it.
Is there anything still to add to the scoot: I think the project is finished but never say never.
Is there anyone you wish to thank: A dutiful thanks goes to my family, who support (or tolerate) me in my scooter follies. Thanks also to everyone who participated in the project: Fabio and Alan from TV Scooter Garage, Fabrizio and Fabio from 70’s Helmets with Alessio Mattiazzi for the paint job, Marco Pesce for the helmets and visors directly from the 70s and Mattia Poretto for the photos.
I also wanted to thank Bruno Pisaniello of Scooter Italiano who together with the TVSG guys organises continuous events to carry on the passion for Lambretta and in particular for the Lui. Finally I can’t forget Gegio from Scooterismo.it who immediately supported the project and continues to promote Italian scooterism in all its forms.
