Becky’s killer ‘sent texts about abducting girls’

- By Ben Wilkinson

TWO l overs accused of murdering Becky Watts chatted about kidnapping ‘ pretty’ schoolgirls and keeping them in an attic, jurors heard.

Nathan Matthews, 28, and Shauna Hoare, 21, exchanged messages about sex with ‘petite’ blondes in the months before the teenager was killed.

One message talked about knocking out a ‘very pretty petite’ girl spotted in a supermarket before bringing her home.

The couple are charged with murdering 16-year-old Becky in a sex- driven kidnap plot and dismembering her body with a circular saw.

Bristol Crown Court yesterday heard the lovers had spoken about a lust for schoolgirls in a series of messages, some of which were later deleted from their mobile phones.

Experts recovered text messages exchanged between Matthews and Hoare in December from phones handed to police.

One read: ‘F*** you bring me bak two pretty schoolgirls then :)...’ A reply said: ‘Lol yeh I’ll just kidnap them from school...’

Later that day, another text between the pair read: ‘Just went into Costcutter and saw a pretty petite girl. Almost knocked her out to bring home lol xoxo’.

A reply 20 seconds later read: ‘Don’t you ‘almost’ me... Now DO IT b****!! Xxxxx’. Another said: ‘Yeah I’ll just go back in time to when I saw her then time travel her to our attic.’

The couple are also said to have shared phones and numbers, making it impossible for investigators to tell who sent which messages.

But all the exchanges were attributed either to two phones handed to the police by the couple, or their Facebook accounts, jurors heard.

Some of them mentioned a 16-yearold girl who the pair spotted and approached on Facebook, who the press has been asked not to name.

One text sent by one of the pair said: ‘Lol where’s the little sweet 16...ish :)’.

‘Bring me two pretty schoolgirls’

They also chatted on Facebook on November 20 when they discussed ‘blonde schoolgirls doing porn’. ‘Or I might have let my mind get away from me just a little bit,’ added Matthews.

Matthews and Hoare deny murdering his stepsister Becky in a sexually motivated attack in the bedroom of her home in the St George area of Bristol on February 19.

They are accused of bundling her body into the boot of their Vauxhall Zafira and driving it home before dismembering her in the bathroom.

Matthews has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denies murder and conspiracy to kidnap.

He has also confessed to perverting the course of justice, preventing Becky’s burial and possessing a stun gun.

Hoare denies all charges against her.

Karl Demetrius, 30, and Jaydene Parsons, 23, admit assisting an offender, while Donovan Demetrius, 30, and a second man, James Ireland, 23, deny the charge.

The trial continues.
