The blood-quaffing Count who’s moved into Kate’s basement
HIS party lifestyle and his confession that he once drank blood for breakfast might not make Nikolai von Bismarck the ideal house guest.
But that has not stopped Kate Moss from reportedly moving the eccentric aristocrat into the home she shared with husband Jamie Hince.
The supermodel, 41, is believed to have sparked an ‘intense’ relationship with the 28-year-old photographer, who has previously been linked to models Cara Delevingne and Pixie Geldof.
Friends claim that Count Nikolai is staying at Miss Moss’s North London home – and hiding in the basement when staff or her 13-year- old daughter Lila Grace are present.
A source close to the model said: ‘A lot of people know Kate has been seeing a lot of Nikolai, but she’s never been this open.
‘Their relationship is pretty intense and he has been virtually living at her Highgate home, but has been staying in the basement quite a lot. Nikolai has clothes at both of Kate’s houses, and although he hasn’t moved in permanently he seems pretty comfortable there.’
Earlier this month the pair were seen having lunch with friends Sadie Frost and Meg Matthews at the Five Alls pub in Filkins near Miss Moss’s Cotswold’s retreat, having partied together the day before. The source told The Sun: ‘They were together all weekend, and it was like she had moved on and Jamie has been forgotten. She likes his energy and likes being around a younger man.’
It was reported earlier this year that Miss Moss had split from her rock star husband Hince, 46, after a series of jealous rows.
The Count is the greatgreat-grandson of Germany’s first chancellor, Prince Otto von Bismarck. Talking about living with locals during a photo shoot in Ethiopia, he once said: ‘I drank cow’s blood for breakfast, washed in the river and slept in a tent that was guarded by kids with AK-47s.’
