Bridget Jones of the jungle
Her children begged her to cover up but Susannah says pants to that!
SHE’S known for her no-nonsense fashion advice on TV show What Not To Wear.
But it seems Susannah Constantine could do with a few lessons herself.
The 53-year-old presenter surprised viewers after showing off a pair of giant fleshcoloured ‘granny pants’ on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – which were more than a little reminiscent of those favoured by film character Bridget Jones.
Miss Constantine was seen rising from a hammock in just a navy T-shirt and the offending knickers. After the scene was aired on Wednesday, one viewer wrote on Twitter: ‘Susannah Constantine wakes up in her grotty pants then it flashes up “fashion expert”. Hilarious.’
Another said: ‘If Susannah really is a fashion expert she would know those pants are not OK.’ One viewer added: ‘Susannah should have had a trip to [lingerie shop] Victoria’s Secret before airing her granny pants on national TV.’
It came after she revealed her 12-year-old daughter Cece’s rather blunt parting advice had been to keep her body under wraps so people ‘don’t realise you’re a fat hippo’.
And her What Not To Wear co-star Trinny Woodall told her not to flash too much skin during the day when ‘we can all see your cellulite’. Campmates are given uniforms for their stay in the Australian outback, but supply their own underwear – and Miss Constantine clearly chose comfort over style.
Previously on the ITV show, the married presenter revealed a basic nude bra, which fellow contestant, boyband member George Shelley, 22, had to help her do up.
