‘Nazi’ tweet MSP warned by police
Anti-Semitic cartoon was sent to Twitter followers
NATIONALIST MSP Sandra White has been warned by police after retweeting an anti-Semitic cartoon compared to the ‘very worst of the Nazi propaganda’.
Police Scotland said they found no evidence of criminality but advised her to be more careful about content shared with her 6,663 followers on Twitter.

But yesterday one complainer demanded Nicola Sturgeon take action against Mrs White or be accused of hypocrisy.
Elliot Davis, former manager of pop group Wet Wet Wet and cochairman of the Judeo-Christian Alliance, said: ‘When Nicola Sturgeon stood in a Glasgow mosque recently and assured us there was “no place for bigotry and prejudice in Scotland” she clearly forgot to mention the rules don’t apply to members of her own party.
‘It is disgraceful that a member of our Scottish parliament can share a platform with vicious anti-Israel hate group the SPSC [Scottish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign], and demand that Scots boycott one and only one country – Israel – yet she still gets away with sending vile disgusting racist anti-Semitic tweets without being charged.’
Miss Sturgeon appealed for calm at Glasgow Central Mosque last month following a minute’s silence for those who died in the Paris attacks, and ahead of the first Syrian refugees arriving in Scotland.
She has apologised to the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities (ScoJec) for the post, which Mrs White insisted she had accidentally retweeted.
However, a 1,183-signature petition has demanded the MSP resign, arguing racism against other groups would not be tolerated.
The tweet added to concerns raised by ScoJec of anti-Israel bias in the Scottish parliament, with a large number of motions condemning Israel lodged at Holyrood, including many proposed or backed by Mrs White. The group said 62 of the 355 motions about foreign affairs in this parliamentary term have been about Israel compared with 13 on Syria and 15 on Iraq.
Mrs White is co-convener of the cross-party group on Palestine at Holyrood. The SNP has insisted: ‘This tweet was re-tweeted in error and has been removed from Sandra White’s account.’
However, it is understood that besides Mr Davis, at least two of her Glasgow Kelvin constituents had reported her to the police.
