Ex-bankrupt Bovey’s new firm £7,000 in red

-

THE road back to business success is not proving easy for former bankrupt Grant Bovey. The ex-husband of TV presenter Anthea Turner has just revealed far-from-impressive figures for his company. Skydance Media is in the red to the tune of £7,305 and has no cash reserves at all, according to latest accounts just filed at Companies House.

Bovey’s only current assets are the £23,400 debts he is owed from customers. In contrast, he owes creditors £51,600 and, to make matters worse, he owes the company £10,700 in money that he has been advanced, according to the accounts for the year to August 2015.

The previous year, things were hardly rosy but, by comparison, the £15,600 cash in the bank and profit of £5,205 look healthy.

The company declares its function as media representation, but for a media company it has a very low profile and does not appear to have a website or a publicly available telephone number.

Anthea, 55, was granted a divorce last October from Bovey, 54, after his year-long affair with socialite Zoe De Mallet Morgan, 26 years his junior, was exposed.

He also became a director last year of another company, MSTY Ltd, which markets a music app that allows you to add tunes to your text messages, and is now its biggest shareholder, owning 4,000 of 6,815 shares.

The company’s last accounts show the business had losses of £622,700 and just £116 in cash at the bank, but that was six months before Bovey joined the board.

The latest accounts will not be available until later this year. Other shareholders include Anthea and showbiz agent Russ Lindsay.

Bovey, who has three children with his first wife Della, was badly hit by the property crash of 2008, which led to the collapse of his buy-to-let business Imagine Homes. At one point, it was said to be worth £100million.

Bovey was declared bankrupt in 2010 when he admitted he couldn’t repay £50 million in debts. He was discharged a year later.

He confessed: ‘It’s humiliating and I feel that I’ve let Anthea down, that I’ve let my children down and everyone who had faith in me.’
