STONE ME, RONNIE’S GOT TWINS AT 69!

AS a hell-raising rock and roll star, Ronnie Wood was often up all night.
With new twin daughters to look after however, the 69year-old has told how he is going without sleep for very different reasons – in his role as chief nappy changer.
The Rolling Stones star also revealed how he had been serenading Gracie Jane and Alice Rose – his first children with 8-year-old wife Sally – on his guitar.
Proudly showing off his daughters, who were born at the end of last month, Wood told Hello!: ‘I’m the burper, walker and nappy changer, and I’m still trying to work out when I can get to sleep in between all that!

them and when I get round to it I will do some drawings. At the moment I’m just soaking up every moment we have.’
He added: ‘I have Sally, my beautiful family and two little gorgeous dolly girls. All I can think is that someone up there really likes me.’
He also revealed Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, 72, ‘couldn’t wait’ to see the girls – and visited the twins only three days after they were born.
And Wood’s theatre producer wife, who he married in 2012, said both she and her husband shed tears when their daughters were born.
She added: ‘Ronnie cut the cords and we just held our babies and looked at their little faces. We both cried.
‘You are just so happy and emotional, the tears are just there. Ronnie is completely committed to being a dad, helping me and looking after us all.
‘I’ve never been a mother before so all I know is this. And this is pretty good so far.’
The twins are Wood’s fifth and sixth children, but his first children with Sally, who is 1 years his junior.
He already has son Jesse Wood, with his first wife and former model Krissy Wood, daughter Leah and son Tyrone – from his second marriage to Jo Wood – and Jamie, who is Jo’s son from a previous marriage, who was adopted by Ronnie.
Last year the rocker was accused of being ‘selfish’ for choosing to become a father at 69. However his third wife defended the couple’s decision, saying: ‘I do accept this is a shock to some people and ridiculous to others, but these children are loved.’
She added: ‘There are other children being born to younger people who aren’t loved. Which do you prefer?’
