Stalker ‘broke in on Lily and new lover’
SINGER Lily Allen was in bed with her lover when a mentally ill Scots stalker broke into her flat, court papers have revealed.
Paranoid schizophrenic Alex Gray, 31, of Perth, was sectioned earlier this month after being convicted of harassment, having stalked the singer since 2008.
Miss Allen has been interviewed about the ordeal numerous times but has never mentioned her companion. However, legal papers show that the singer was in her bedroom with DJ Daniel London – whose birth name is Lawrence – when Gray burst in last October.
The documents, obtained by a newspaper, refer to the singer as ‘Ms Cooper’, her married name. But she is believed to have already split from her builder husband Sam Cooper, who was not in the house at the time. They reportedly state: ‘In the early hours of Fri 2 Oct 2015, there was a burglary at Ms Cooper’s flat. At about 1.30am, Ms Cooper was in her bedroom with her friend Lawrence London. Her two children were asleep in their bedroom, and her nanny was in her bedroom.’
Allen and London were confronted by Gray, who wrongly believed she owed him millions of pounds for stealing his song lyrics and may have had a part in his father’s death.
Miss Allen, 31, had security shutters installed at her home in Kilburn, north-west London, but had forgotten to lock her door.
On Twitter at the weekend, she said Gray had been let down by the health service, adding: ‘I can’t help but think that as funds are cut and our health service declines, we will see more examples where innocent people get hurt.’
