STEERING LABOUR INTO OBLIVION

-

SEUMAS Milne, when he was a socalled journalist before becoming a pretend political consigliere, often condemned ‘asset-strippers’.

You know the sort. People who take over a business, make plenty of people unemployed and just want to retain the company name.

And what do you know? He is doing exactly the same with the Labour Party.

No longer an electoral force, a million miles from government, the one thing left to fight for is the name.

Milne, pictured, is less an adviser to Corbyn and more a malicious carer to a deluded Labour ‘leader’. Mrs Danvers, perhaps.

Corbyn must know his time is up unless his aide keeps giving him the happy pills. Milne might just think his time has come.

And so he will be happy to see Labour MPs leave and form another party. As long as he and Jeremy can still say they are the Labour Party.

He might as well adopt the name Woolworths because that is what he has made the party.

A great name. But no goods in the back anyone wants to buy. THIS weekend thousands of gay, lesbian and transgender people marched through Edinburgh to celebrate who they are. Good on them. Similarly thousands of Orangemen walked through Glasgow to affirm their identity. That is their right. I, however, am neither qualified nor inclined to join either. So I am asking any bald, overweight, middle-class men raging against the dying of the light and the death of the right-thinking world to join with me in our own march of self-assertion. Right to the pub. So we don’t upset any of the neighbours.
