Boy, 3, dies in family holiday car accident
THE parents of a three-yearold boy who died after being hit by a van while on holiday last night spoke of their ‘absolute devastation’.
Clinton Pringle, from Glasgow, was visiting Jersey in the Channel Islands with his parents, Michael and Stacey, when he was hit by a van last Monday.
His father described him as ‘my best wee pal with the biggest heart imaginable’.
He was flown to Southampton Hospital, where he fought for life with his family at his bedside. His death was announced on Friday.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of road traffic offences and later bailed.
The toddler’s parents said: ‘Clinton was an incredibly strong character and his death will leave a gaping hole in the lives and hearts of so many.’
