Caps are on Cikos’ mind at County

-

eriK CiKos is convinced ross County can get him a return to the slovakia squad — and a date with scotland. Last month, the full-back (below) became one of Jim Mcintyre’s five summer signings to date, rejoining the team he starred for from January to May 2014. But he knows he has much work to do having been out of football for six months, saying: ‘The chance to recapture my place in the national team is the reason i returned. ‘if i can do well, and help the club do well, it will be a big opportunity to break back into the national team.’ Cikos is well aware success on the international front might well propel him up against World Cup qualifying rivals scotland. he said: ‘if i can win back my place, scotland are one of slovakia’s World Cup qualifying opponents. ‘First, i have to work hard and succeed here. everything else follows from that.’ CHELSEA have made contact with Southampton and Italy striker Graziano Pelle’s representatives, though remain keen to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. Pelle is reported to be attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Everton, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and AC Milan.
