BRAT WATCH
The trademark outbursts were missing, but so was Nick Kyrgios’s concentration as he was put to the sword by Andy Murray...
PRE-MATCH
Kyrgios decided to prepare for an incredibly tough match against the world No 2 by sitting out on Court 18 in cold conditions watching Aussie compatriot Lleyton Hewitt play his doubles match.
FIRST SET
With Kyrgios serving to stay in the set at 5-6, Murray puts the pressure on and breaks as Kyrgios dumps a volley into the net. Kyrgios starts moaning and sarcastically puts his thumb up in the direction of his box.
SECOND SET
Kyrgios is broken for 3-1 and becomes further frustrated, shouting ‘wow’ three times as he stands at the back of the court waiting to hit a return. Kyrgios is then broken again for 5-1 as he tunes out, playing too fast with little time in between the points.
THIRD SET
Kyrgios is broken in the third game of the third set and doesn’t bother sitting down at the change of ends, walking to the other side of the court and standing at the baseline shaking his head. Murray eases across the finish line.
