Drinking on the streets at 2am, Billie Piper weeks af ter her divorce
DISHEVELLED and blearyeyed, Billie Piper appears to be in meltdown following the breakdown of her marriage.
The former Doctor Who star, 33, has been pictured drinking in the street and arguing with new boyfriend Johnny Lloyd.
In the meantime, her ex-husband Laurence Fox, whom she divorced in May, is having to take time off to look after their children.
Miss Piper’s heavy drinking session last Monday began in Joe’s bar in Camden, north London, where she stayed until closing time at 2am, emerging ‘deadeyed’, according to onlookers.
She was then seen smoking and swigging from a beer bottle while musician Lloyd, 30, was pictured snorting an unknown substance. The couple had to be kept apart by friends as they appeared to argue in the street. An onlooker told The Sun: ‘She was boozing with Johnny, two other guys and another couple, and they all looked pretty wasted.
‘Billie was all over the place. She and Johnny were kissing and holding each other all night. When she, Johnny and a third pal headed for a nearby van, it wasn’t at first obvious why. But when Johnny stuck his nose in a wrapper before dabbing his nostrils, it seemed clear what was going on.
‘After that, they just stood there smoking and staring into space.
‘Johnny looked like he wasn’t all there and Billie was completely dead-eyed. If I was a friend, I’d be seriously worried for her.’ Last week 38-year-old Fox – who married Miss Piper in 2007 and split in March this year – revealed he had put his acting career on hold to take care of their children Winston, seven, and Eugene, three.
‘I’m busy being a dad,’ he said. ‘I do just have to look after the kids at the moment because Billie’s working.’ Lloyd, a friend of actor Jude Law, was frontman of rock band Tribes, who released two albums and broke up in 2013.
The singer, who has launched a solo career, moved to London to study but dropped out to focus on music. In an interview in 2014, he said: ‘I was born in Newcastle, grew up in the Midlands… then came to London when I was about 19 … to do a degree at Goldsmiths University, but I left after a week… I thought, “F***, they are giving me all of this money, why am I here?”’
His parents Carol and Chris, both 57, did not wish to comment at their £380,000 detached home in Wrexham, north Wales.
Miss Piper, who also starred in The Secret Diary of a Call Girl, has had a tumultuous love life.
In 2000, at 17, she split from boyfriend Richie Neville of band 5ive after meeting broadcaster Chris Evans. They married the next year and split in 2004, but did not divorce until 2007.
She has previously fought an eating disorder and in 2006 admitted experimenting with drugs.
