Dave is joining the Chelsea set

... and his landlord’s a Johnson!

-

Barely a week ago, David and Samantha Cameron were settling into the seven-bedroom, £16.8 million Holland Park townhouse of Pr tycoon Sir alan Parker.

But now, I can disclose, they are preparing to move a mile or so south — to a house in Chelsea.

The three-storey, £4million, end-ofterrace affair is more modest than Parker’s palace, but there’s much Dave and Sam will find familiar about it, especially its owner, Dominic Johnson.

a photograph on Johnson’s personal website shows him standing next to Cameron, both resplendent in black tie, rather than the distressingly egalitarian uniform Dave recently felt obliged to wear when enjoying a morning coffee with George Osborne in Notting Hill. although another photo shows him with Boris Johnson, Dominic is not one of ‘those’ Johnsons. rather, he is a descendant of 17th-century statesman lord Somers of evesham, and is a former Tory councillor and CeO of Somerset Capital, which he cofounded with Cameron’s fellow Old etonian, Tory MP Jacob rees-Mogg. The company today is said to have ‘$6.8bn under management’, with bases in london and Singapore.

Johnson’s wife, alice, is the daughter of Old etonian former Tory minister archie Hamilton.

David, Samantha and their children Nancy, 12, elwen, ten, and Florence, five, (pictured) will spend the summer in Chelsea until the tenants in their North Kensington home move out.

‘Hugh Grant’s nearby, so is Frank lampard,’ says a proud local.

Perhaps Dave can arrange a bonding party at local restaurant Brinkley’s Garden, which boasts a retractable roof and Bollinger at £60-a-bottle. It’s a place that might attract Pippa Middleton’s prospective brother-inlaw, Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, who claims to have slept with 1,000 women. So perhaps not.
