NICKY SAYS: The striking fan shape — which would look perfect on a mantelpiece — is very unusual. I love the combination of blood red and dark green. The leaves have a see-through quality and the intricacy of the clover heads is extraordinary.

Fake flowers used to all be bog-standard roses. So it’s wonderful to see wild flowers like this.

The only letdown is the cheap-looking container. I’d put them in a simple vase.
