PRETTY IN PINK

-

Lisianthus Spray (£2.22) and Prize Rose (£2.16, The Artificial Flower Shop at tesco.com) WHAT ARE THEY? Flowers made from polyester with rubber steams.

NICKY SAYS: Flowers should complement each other. But the combination of a single long-stemmed rose and a spray of Lisianthus is boringly predictable.

I feel I’m drowning in a sea of pink polyester. I’d want to add more Lisianthus — preferably in white. Or put the rose in a bud vase in your bathroom and you’ve instantly got something lovely.

The leaves look realistic — from a distance. And I like the way the rose stem bends, so you can shape it. But the petals don’t feel real and they’re fraying slightly — signs of cheap materials.
