FRESH FROM THE GARDEN

-

Spring Garden with other stems, including dahlia, peonies and astors (£68.50, oka.com) WHAT ARE THEY? A clever blend of silk, cotton and PVC.

NICKY SAYS: This is ravishing: every single stem and petal is perfect in appearance and colour. The woolly lamb’s ears leaves even feel downy — just like they do in real life.

I love the loose, haphazard arrangement, too. But the most fun part is that it’s a fantasy bouquet. The exquisite red Christmas roses are a winter flower, so you won’t find them growing with summer peonies.

The joy of an artificial display is that you can create this sort of magical fun: it’s the shapes and colours that matter. This wouldn’t look out of place in a royal bedroom. 10/10
