Runway backing
HEATHROW’S boss has reignited its row with Gatwick and claimed most MPs support building a new runway at his airport.
Chief executive John Holland-Kaye said there was also good support in the Cabinet for the Heathrow option.
The decision has been delayed again following the Brexit vote and the changes in the Government. Last year the Airports Commission recommended a third runway be built at Heathrow but Gatwick still hopes to get approval.
Yesterday Heathrow posted a 4.4pc rise in half-year earnings.
